¡Estos tacos son auténticos y muy deliciosos!

Translation: Yum!

If you want authentic street tacos—like the ones they make in Mexico City—you have three choices: fly to Mexico City, take the 90-minute trip to Kent or visit Bainbridge Tacos.

Just a few steps from Winslow Way and Highway 305 in the shadow of the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Bainbridge Tacos opened last summer to universal acclaim, including a number of 5-star reviews on Google.

So what is a street taco? It’s a traditional Mexican taco served on a corn tortilla with meat, onions, cilantro and other ingredients.

Dilan Diaz loves street tacos. That’s why the Mexico City native purchased the taco stand last summer. Diaz is also sous chef at Amelia Wynn bistro, just down the street from Bainbridge Tacos. Diaz says that what sets his street tacos apart is that each one is made to order using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. “We also make our own salsas,” he said.

One of the Google reviewers said it best:

“Delicious, authentic and fresh al pastor tacos and incredibly tasty salsas. Friendly and helpful staff!”
